Elizabeth was inspired from a young age by the beauty of nature to begin painting and exercising her creativity. βI've been creating artwork for as long as I can remember. But it was during my years in college, studying the humanities, that I came to see the value of art and decided to develop my interest specifically in oil painting.β As an artist, she enjoys getting lost in the creative process of her art. βIt stretches my imagination and tickles my brain in wonderful ways. It also makes me glad to share my artwork with others, adding color and joy to their surroundings.β

Elizabeth is also inspired by Van Goghβs βbold and authentic style.β βHis portrait of Joseph Roulin always shocks me into a smile.β In her own work, flowers haveΒ become her favorite subject to portray. βPainting flowers is a deep well of creative enjoyment. They allow me to freely explore color combinations and flowy, thick brushstrokes.β When starting a new project or piece, she is often inspired by the colors that she sees in the world around her. βA certain color will often spark an entire piece. I'll see a deep blue dress at the park, for example, and it will stick with me until I can recreate it on a canvas.β

To aspiring artists, Elizabeth encourages embracing your limits.Β βWith consistency, much can be accomplished in little fragments of time. Make what you can within your limitations. Better yet, make your limitations your allies by allowing them to shape your style.β
Elizabeth found Golden State Art for her framing needs through Amazon. βI needed a gold frame for a Christmas gift last year. Like most shoppers, I started the search on Amazon. A Golden State Art frame stood out among the rest, and I went for it. I was very pleased and have since visited your site directly several times. Golden State Art frames present my work in a high-quality, modern aesthetic. The bulk pricing is great for my small-business needs - I'm so thankful I can offer my artwork with beautiful frames while keeping my prices accessible for collectors.β
Elizabeth is currently finishing up a collection for the Christmas season that will be available on her website. βI am putting the finishing touches on a few small florals in deep, moody colors especially made for the Christmas season. I will be offering gift-ready prints of this collection - each one framed in a sleek Golden State Art frame. I'll be sharing on Instagram as soon as they are ready for release.β Follow her over on InstagramΒ @elizabethbowman_artistΒ to stay up to date on this and future projects!
