Jamie Swim is an artist and graphic designer based in Oahu, Hawaii. “My name is Jamie Swim. I am an artist, and graphic designer from Northshore Oahu Hawaii. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, but I started actively selling my creations in 2009 to family and friends. Jamie grew up in a creative family, so she has been surrounded by art since childhood. “I come from a long line of artists and creative people. My dad is a photographer and my mom can transform anything into a work of art! Along with my grandma and my great grandma. I guess you can say it's in my genes.” As an artist, she most enjoys using her imagination to create a piece. “What I enjoy most is the fact that I can create something from my imagination and it make someone else happy.”

A favorite piece of hers is a painting of a mermaid pictured below. “My favorite painting I ever did is my mama mermaid painting. It took me over a year to complete. It's a dedication to motherhood.” In her work, she enjoys painting elements of nature. “I love painting waves, tropical scenery, sea life, palm trees. Basically anything Island related inspires me. especially the colors of the ocean and the Skies here in Hawaii!”

When beginning a new project or piece, Jamie is often inspired by her surroundings in Hawaii. “Well living here in Hawaii the inspiration is all around. I also have a few artist friends, we share an art studio and I feel like we all gain inspiration from each other.” To aspiring artists, she encourages never giving up. “The advice I would give to any artist is to never give up on creating! Art is a way to show people how you see the world and it is so beautiful to get to see it through other people's eyes.”
Jamie discovered Golden State Art years ago through a fellow artist. “I have been using your products for my art for about 6 years now. I found you through another artist friend. Your price points for your photo mats are the best prices and great quality so I have been able to sell a lot more of my art prints because of your products.”
